Warning: this may be kind of a gross post to read if you've just had a big meal.
I once read somewhere that the cleanest toilet stall is usually the first one closest to the door, because people seem to go for the middle stalls. I don't know about the ones that are furthest away, but generally from my observations, people do seem to skip the first one or 2 stalls.
Now, I'm usually happy to take the first stall. But I have come across a bit of a predicament at work. You see, there are 3 stalls with toilet bowls to sit on, and the 4th, the one furthest from the entrance, is a squat toilet which I generally try and avoid. (Think about it - pee splattered all over your pants, or even worse, your leg - eew, no thanks.) So, I take the first stall. People often miss it because when the main toilet door is open, it obstructs entry to that stall.
My gripe is this: why, when someone decides to do a number 2, of the 3 toilets you sit on, do they always seem to choose the middle stall of to do their 'business'??!?! It stiiiinnnnkkkkkssss. Do I then use the 1st or 3rd stall? The 4th stall is not really an option - I've already explained why.
In the mornings, between 8 and 8.30am (which is when we officially start work), it's even worse. All four stalls would be occupied by people doing number 2s. This is when I try to avoid going to the toilet at all. Seriously, wouldn't they be more comfortable doing it in the comfort of their own home before they came to the office?
