The words that people have used to describe my new hairstyle so far range from 'nice' to 'drastic'. 'Drastic' I can understand - my natural hair is heavy, long, and STRAIGHT. As for 'nice', I'll take the compliment, even if I'm not entirely sure that they themselves were convinced ;) But then there was one brutally honest comment: "looks a little dry." Ouch! Talk about bursting a girl's bubble!
The hair's relaxed a little bit, but I think I may have ruined the curls a little by tying it up for sport and clipping it half-up for work. And I'm pretty sure it's not dry.
But that's nothing compared to having to deal with someone who is older than me and acts like she's still in high school, in one of those 'cool girl' cliques. It's like living in the 'Mean Girls' movie. Sometimes you just want to shake her and make her realise that she's just not that cool. Just immature.
