Time to breathe

Alright everyone. Here I go, on my new adventure. The title of the blog? Things in our lives are constantly changing, whether we want them to or not. From the gradual and incremental, to the sudden and drastic. Accept the changes and go along. Acceptance of life and the Grand Plan. It is the only way to keep growing and learning.

You know my story. Lived in Melbourne for 5 and a half years, but forced to leave. If you knew me then, you would know how hard I tried not to, and how painful it was to do so. What you probably don't know is how touched I was by everyone's support and love. In a way, it was kind of unexpected. I had been so caught up in how I was feeling (very alone), and not realised how others felt about my leaving. I thank you all for bringing it to my attention. I'm glad I was able to bring a little joy to your lives, hopefully as much joy as you brought to mine, individually and collectively.

So I have started this blog to help me keep in touch with everyone, and so that I don't have to send out mass emails (which I don't particularly like). However, due to the VERY public nature of weblogs, I will probably be a bit sketchy on some topics, so you'll have to ask me personally if you want more details!

Last but not least, this wouldn't be my blog if I didn't talk about one of two things: food and sport. So I shall end on this note - I played futsal for the first time in 3 weeks on Sunday. That fact, as well as the weather, and that the session lasted 2 hours, means that I am ACHING, but plan to play again tonight (of course). The first time in 3 years that I have played with only girls. May take a while to get used to, but I can't complain! I get to chase that stupid round ball inside a netted court.

Miss you guys in Melbourne. The weather here is insane. It's meant to be the dry season, but it's been raining almost everyday since I got back.
